It took about 8 pairs of old jeans and a few extra yards of denim. We had to move most of our furniture out of the living room to lay everything out. We almost made two medium-sized quilts, but it just seemed too fun to have one great big quilt. The quilt will be almost 10' x 8'.
If you look closely, but not that close, you can see the "H" in the middle. It was a little tricky getting the pattern to work out, but we love the way it looks.
We are still looking for the fabric to put on the back. Any suggestions???

Love the H you guys. Chris you are such a domestic Hubby! Good for you. I am sure that blanket will be a cherished family heirloom to pass on.
It's true that Wendy did most of the work, but I did help in the cutting, sewing, and ordering pizza.
I am in love with the H. I am very impressed with your crafty skills. It looks really great.
looks dang cool! Flannel always works well with Denim, and that would make one seriously warm blanket.
We've been to Joannes and Walmart looking at cheap fabric, but haven't found anything yet. We also are a little worried about the weight of the whole thing once we are done. It is pretty heavy right now without the batting or backing.
