Jill provided the BBQ chicken and rolls; Kira provided the drinks and a "fresh summer salad"; Wendy and I provided rice and the paper goods. We found a nice spot in the shade, spread out our blankets and dug in.
There were a lot of families at the park. According to Josh, many of the families weren't LDS-He said that he could tell by their clothes. All of us did enjoy the tuba playing in the background and the Latin music we could hear coming from across the park. I also personally enjoyed the kids playing ON the fountain and riding their big wheels in the water.
After we were done eating, Josh took all the kids to feed the ducks while the rest of the adults took a break. When they came back, Seth went back for more food,
Ethan and Abi lured ants in with cake and then tried to light them on fire,
Gracie and I played peek-a-boo from Wendy,
and the other kids played on the swings.
We finished the day off by singing happy birthday to Kira and Josh ( b-day was last week) and eating chocolate cake. A lot (43) more pictures can be seen here.
